TOWN JETS

Fly
a Supersonic Jet!
There's only
one place in the world where you can strap yourself into a Mach 2 English
Electric Lightning and climb 60,000 feet closer to heaven in just
over a minute...
A place where
you can scream out over the Atlantic at 650 mph in a Buccaneer
and take a g-pulling and breath-stealing acrobatic flight in a Hawker
Hunter.
And it happens
to be one of the world's most beautiful cities... Incredible
Cape Town!
Note: You do
not have to be a pilot to fly a fighter jet over Cape Town. In the Hawker
Hunter and Electric Lightning, you will be allowed to take the controls
of the aircraft. In the Bucc, you will not fly the aircraft, but you
will be actively involved in the operation of the jet. Each flight in
Cape Town is one hour “chock to chock”.

Lightning |
Not
since the Spitfire has one aircraft captured the hearts and
imaginations of a generation of fighter pilots in the way
that the Lightning has. Unequivocally Britain's most loved
jet fighter, the Lightning earned itself legitimately a place
among the greats of celebrated aviation legends. read

The
obvious appeal of the Jet Provost as a highly developed and
economical trainer prompted BAC to do what Hunting, the company
that had originated the design, had lacked the funds to achieve:
development of the type into a multi-role tactical aircraft
able to fly both pilot training and weapon training sorties,
and also, should the occasion demand, go to war in the light
attack and tactical reconnaissance roles. read
